Organization and governance

The Doctoral School is headed by a Director, assisted by a Council.

The Board operates in two ways. The plenary council meets at least 3 times a year, ratifies decisions and discusses major orientations. The restricted council meets whenever necessary to make decisions concerning the operation of the ED, to examine students' progress to the next year and waivers, and to award doctoral contracts.

Supervision and training of doctoral students

The ED offers a specific program of doctoral courses in both disciplines. At the same time, the Collège Doctoral coordinates cross-disciplinary and professional training programs.

A "Journée de rentrée" for doctoral students is organized in conjunction with an interdisciplinary event entitled "Regards croisés Économie et Gestion"

Missions

Under the terms of the decree of May 25, 2016 setting the national framework for training and the procedures leading to the award of the national doctoral diploma, "doctoral schools or doctoral colleges organize the training of doctoral students and prepare them for their professional activity at the end of doctoral training".

The Doctoral School's mission is to :

  • implement a doctoral student recruitment policy.
  • organize annual registration and re-registration procedures: ensure that the doctoral student submits a research proposal under the supervision of a teacher authorized to direct research, examine the progress of the work; ensure that thesis monitoring committees are set up.
  • ensure the quality of supervision and monitoring of doctoral students. It ensures that students are placed in the best possible working conditions to carry out their research, and monitors the application of the thesis charter.
  • allocate doctoral contracts on a competitive basis each year.
  • provide doctoral students with training to support their research and career plans.
  • encourage scientific exchanges with foreign universities as part of doctoral student mobility programs.
  • Monitor the professional integration of doctoral students through procedures adopted by the doctoral college.
