THESIS PRIZES

Each year, Aix-Marseille University awards a prize to recognize the most exemplary theses defended by doctoral students enrolled at AMU.

Since 2021, the City of Marseille has awarded a prize to honor the best and most exemplary theses defended by doctoral students enrolled at AMU, based on predefined themes approved by the City Council.

This year, as well as last year, the themes for the City of Marseille thesis prize are as follows:

1. Social and democracy
2. Ecology and sustainable development
3. The Mediterranean
4. Life sciences and health
5. Advanced Science and Technology

The AMU Thesis Prize 2024 and the Marseille City Thesis Prize 2024 concern theses defended between January 1st and December 31st, 2023.

Application Procedures

1. Complete applications must be submitted to the Doctoral School (ED) by Thursday, May 30th, to the following address: cindy.albinski@univ-amu.fr
2. They must necessarily include all of the following documents (compiled into a single dossier):
   
   • Application form (to be submitted in Word format)
   • Thesis abstract
   • Pre-defense and defense reports
   • Publications related to the thesis
   • Curriculum vitae of the doctor
   • Any other additional document deemed useful for evaluating the application
